Privacy Policy for ScanGo – Easy Scanner

Effective Date: September 18, 2026
Last Updated: September 18, 2026

STAGO Digital (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates ScanGo – Easy Scanner, a mobile application designed to help users scan documents, enhance scans, extract text using OCR, organize documents, and export files in formats such as PDF, JPG, and PNG.

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use ScanGo.

1. Document Scanning and Local Processing

ScanGo is designed so that its core document-scanning functionality operates locally on your device.

Documents, photographs, scanned pages, extracted text, PDFs, and other files that you create or import into ScanGo are processed on your device for features such as:

  • Document scanning
  • Document edge detection and cropping
  • Image enhancement and filters
  • Optical Character Recognition (OCR)
  • PDF creation
  • JPG and PNG creation
  • Document organization and storage

ScanGo does not require you to upload your scanned documents to STAGO Digital servers for these core functions.

2. OCR and Document Recognition

ScanGo uses on-device technologies, including Google ML Kit, to provide Optical Character Recognition (OCR).

OCR is used to recognize and extract text from scanned documents and images.

The OCR functionality configured in ScanGo processes supported document text on the device. STAGO Digital does not operate a server that receives your documents for OCR processing.

3. Camera and Photos

ScanGo may request access to your device’s camera so you can scan documents.

When you choose to import an existing image, ScanGo may use Android’s photo/media selection functionality to allow you to select images.

These permissions and system features are used only to provide functionality that you request.

4. Files and Storage

ScanGo may save documents, PDFs, JPG images, PNG images, and related information on your device.

Your files remain under your control and may be shared, exported, renamed, moved, or deleted using ScanGo’s available features.

If you choose to share a document using another application or service, the information you share will also be subject to that third party’s privacy practices.

5. Advertising

ScanGo uses Google AdMob to display advertisements.

Google and its advertising partners may automatically collect or process certain information when advertisements are requested or displayed. Depending on your device, region, settings, consent choices, and applicable law, this may include information such as:

  • Device and app information
  • Advertising identifiers
  • IP address
  • General diagnostic information
  • Ad interactions
  • Information used for advertising, measurement, fraud prevention, and security

STAGO Digital does not use AdMob to access the contents of your scanned documents.

Google’s handling of information is governed by Google’s own privacy policies and advertising technologies.

For more information, see Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from apps or sites that use its services.

6. Advertising Consent

Where required by applicable law, ScanGo may ask for your advertising/privacy choices before requesting certain advertisements.

The availability and behavior of personalized or non-personalized advertising may depend on your region, device settings, consent choices, and Google advertising services.

You may also be able to manage advertising and privacy preferences through your device or Google account settings.

7. Internet Connection

Core ScanGo functionality such as document scanning, local document processing, supported on-device OCR, and local file creation is designed to work without an internet connection after the required app components are installed.

An internet connection may be required for third-party services such as advertising and for features that involve external apps or online services.

8. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect From Your Documents

STAGO Digital does not operate a ScanGo cloud service for collecting the contents of your scanned documents.

We do not intentionally collect through our own servers:

  • Scanned document contents
  • Extracted OCR text
  • Locally created PDFs
  • Imported document images

This does not prevent third-party services integrated into the app, such as advertising services, from processing the technical information described elsewhere in this policy.

9. Third-Party Services

ScanGo may use third-party technologies and services necessary to provide app functionality, including technologies provided by Google, such as Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) and ML Kit.

Those third parties may process information according to their own privacy policies and terms.

10. Data Security

We take reasonable measures in the design of ScanGo to limit unnecessary access to user documents and to keep core document processing local where supported.

However, no device, software application, or method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Users are responsible for maintaining appropriate security for their devices and any documents stored on them.

11. Children’s Privacy

ScanGo is a general-purpose document utility and is not specifically directed to children.

We do not knowingly use ScanGo to collect the contents of children’s scanned documents through STAGO Digital servers.

Advertising and third-party services may be subject to additional requirements depending on the user’s age, location, and applicable law.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when ScanGo’s functionality, third-party services, legal requirements, or privacy practices change.

Any updated policy will be published with a revised “Last Updated” date.
